Cyber Security Specialist / Consultant

About the Role
Due to rapid growth, our client is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist / Consultant to join their Cybersecurity (CS) team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is critical in securing and managing cloud infrastructure across multiple environments — ensuring high availability, strong performance, and compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously improve and upgrade existing cloud security infrastructure.
- Ensure the security of all systems through comprehensive monitoring and proactive threat management.
- Enhance the company's security posture via penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain adherence to ISO 27001, improve NIST Gap Assessments, and drive additional certifications such as SOC 2.
- Plan and implement strategic upgrades to company environments.
- Monitor production environments for maximum uptime, performance, and security.
- Manage test and development environments, including database copies when required.
- Implement and maintain housekeeping processes to optimize system performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, policies, and industry regulations.
- Stay up to date with evolving cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
- Support the sales team in responding to cybersecurity-related RFPs.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud architecture, or IT security operations.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 (hands-on).
- Proven experience designing, setting up, and improving Azure cloud security infrastructure.
- Demonstrated track record in helping companies achieve cybersecurity certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism.
