Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and validate data from multiple banking systems (e.g., loans, treasury, trade finance, payments).
- Support the preparation and validation of MAS regulatory reports in compliance with reporting standards.
- Conduct data analysis across corporate banking portfolios, including lending, deposits, trade finance, and treasury products.
- Perform trend, variance, and scenario analyses to support business performance, pricing, and profitability initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and compliance teams to translate regulatory and business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal data governance and regulatory policies.
- Partner with technology teams to enhance data pipelines, automate reporting processes, and enable advanced analytics use cases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of corporate banking products (loans, deposits, trade finance, treasury, payments).
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks, particularly MAS reporting standards.
- Proficiency in SQL, and experience with data analysis tools such as Python or R.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL, or big data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark).
- Exposure to machine learning applications in credit, risk, or client segmentation.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to link data insights to revenue, cost, and risk drivers.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and fast-paced environments.
