THE ROLE: Self-motivated individual who is well-organized with strong written and verbal communication skills A positive attitude, desire to learn and willingness to work hard to accomplish your goals Someone who is passionate about technology and is willing to bring their initiative and innovative ideas to everyday work Forward looking, and Identify opportunities to improve and automate the environment and operational efficiency Strong Unix system administration skills KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Configure, Deploy, and Manage physical and virtual servers Troubleshoot and Resolve infrastructure issues related to compute, storage, and network equipment Repair servers (replace hard drives; replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.) Service tickets within a Jira ticketing system to address problems, incidents, and engineering support requests VM provisioning, vSphere troubleshooting/administration Support and maintain LSF grid Upgrade/Patch BIOS, firmware, drivers to meet performance and security requirements Update/Patch primarily Linux with some Windows environment to meet performance and security requirements Maintain monitor systems to manage system availability, performance, and capacity Support project level improvement initiatives Maintain and enhance the security posture of the infrastructure and applications Assist in automating repeated tasks, including adding new equipment to monitoring Interface with local hardware vendors for service contract repairs PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Unix Systems Administration, scripting skills (python / bash) File systems, Databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL), Apache Web Servers, Git, knowledge of CI/CD, Jira, Confluence Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure VMware ESXi and related technologies ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS or MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience LOCATION: Singapore #LI-CO1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
