Data Centre Design Engineer / Lead Engineer (Electrical)



Job description

Attend User / Client meetings acting as technical lead in regard to project management as required.


Conduct internal training to staff for pre-sales engagement and ensure knowledge transfer of design methodology, cost modelling, etc.

to employees.


Manage each phase of the project from design to completion and ensure efficient use of resources and enhance cost-effectiveness.


Supporting new business venture overseas.


Propose design concept.


Summarize design requirement.


Analyzing existing facility
Conceptual sizing/design
Risk analysis by checking consistency between tender and quotation specification.


Prepare supplemental material (Spec, DWG) for quotation.


Review BoQ (Material and quantity).


Propose Value Engineering and technical review.


Prepare presentation material for tender interview.


Provide audit and consultancy services.


Vigilant system support
site survey
draft proposal document
provide technical support.


· Project Management for new construction and D&B project in design phase working directly with clients, consultants, statutory authorities, and contractors.


Leading or facilitating the design review meetings and design workshops.


Feasibility study.


Assessment of mission critical building.


Concept & schematic design
Summarize design requirement.


Analyzing existing facility
Schematic design report
Design development (Spec., technical calculation sheet)
Propose new, feasible innovation and stay abreast on the latest trend in the market.


Product differentiation
Detail design
Arrangement of shop drawing with drafter
Authority submission arrangement with QP
Input for T&C requirement (prepare test script and ensure that the methodology is in line internally)
Design Coordination with other discipline.


Review of construction material / shop drawing / MoS.


Shop drawing coordination with sub-con/vendor & other stakeholders.


Periodical inspection (internal check for quality improvement).


Ensure site installation works are according to project plans / designs / time frame.


T&C consultation for FAT, SAT, and IST with Technical & Q&C department.


Handover submission arrangement with drafter team and project team (As build DWG).


Required to learn and adapt working in Cloud, Design Collaboration and Model coordination and QA/QC own work.


· AutoCAD & Revit experience with Cloud Work-sharing (ACC) is desirable.


· Depending on project need, this position may be located On-Site or Off-Site and requires frequent travel to the project site.


· Any other duties assigned by Senior Manager.
