You will be involved in:
Applied Research & Development
- Design and conduct experiments to assess the feasibility and impact of emerging privacy technologies.
- Build proof‑of‑concept models that demonstrate real‑world applicability.
- Translate academic research into practical solutions for deployment.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing through publications and collaboration with partners.
- Work closely with public agencies to understand privacy challenges and operational needs.
- Lead pilot implementations of PETs and gather feedback to refine solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the adoption process.
- Identify opportunities to apply PETs to common data challenges.
- Develop scalable solutions for broad adoption across government ecosystems.
- Create clear frameworks for implementation and integration.
Cross‑Functional Teamwork
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
- Align technical solutions with evolving regulatory and governance requirements.
What are we looking for?
We’re seeking a curious and collaborative Data Scientist with a strong foundation in machine learning and a passion for privacy innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit‑learn.
- Strong understanding of model development, experimentation, and performance optimization.
- Ability to critically evaluate academic research and apply findings to real‑world problems.
- Experience designing and conducting experiments to validate hypotheses.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and developing novel approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative mindset and experience working in Agile, cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Interest or experience in privacy‑enhancing technologies (e.g., anonymisation, synthetic data, differential privacy).
- Bonus: Familiarity with frontend integration workflows (e.g., React/Next.js).
