About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled
Database Developer
with hands-on experience in
Oracle and MS SQL
to join our IT team.
The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain database solutions, optimize performance and ensure data integrity across systems.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with business and IT teams to deliver robust data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain
database objects
including tables, views, stored procedures, triggers and functions in
Oracle and MS SQL .
Optimize database performance through
query tuning, indexing and monitoring .
Ensure
data integrity, security, and backup/recovery procedures
are implemented and maintained.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business users to
translate requirements into database solutions .
Perform
database troubleshooting, issue resolution and support
for production systems.
Assist in
database migrations, upgrades and deployment activities .
Create and maintain
technical documentation
for database designs, scripts and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems or related field .
3–5 years of experience as a
Database Developer
or similar role.
Hands-on experience with
Oracle PL/SQL
and
MS SQL Server (T-SQL) .
Strong understanding of
database design, normalization and relational modeling .
Experience with
performance tuning, query optimization and indexing .
Knowledge of
backup/recovery, security, and database monitoring tools .
Strong
analytical, problem-solving and communication skills .
Preferred:
Experience with
ETL processes, SSIS or data integration tools .
Familiarity with
reporting/BI tools
like Power BI, Tableau or SSRS.
Exposure to
cloud database platforms
(Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud) is a plus.
