SITLEARN, Singapore Institute of Technology's lifelong learning division is seeking a dynamic, resourceful and results oriented Deputy Director, Client and Partner Development to join our team.

The SITLEARN Division caters to working adults who are keen to upgrade their skills and offers multiple pathways for companies to retain their talents and individuals to gain access to higher education learning.

Together with the National Centre of Excellence (NACE) for Workplace Learning, the first workplace learning centre set up in an Autonomous University and supported by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), we are here to help organisations build workplace competencies.

As the Deputy Director, Client and Partner Development, you will play an integral role in the leadership team.

Your role is to assist the Head of Division, SITLEARN, in strategic CET growth portfolios and initiatives, building long-term capabilities, implementing action plans to fulfill the mission and vision of the university.

As the Deputy Director reporting to the Head of Division, SITLEARN and NACE, your role will encompass:

  1. Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and execute a growth strategy, business plan and grow the portfolios within SITLEARN and .

  2. Profit and Loss Management, New Client Acquisition, Proposal Development and Relationship Building: Lead new client acquisition and new business development efforts leading to new revenue streams and profitability.

    Creation of compelling proposals, pitches, and foster long-term relationships with clients and partners, showcasing the superior value proposition of SIT's signature programmes.

  3. Large Key Accounts Management: Acquire new large key accounts, foster relationships and identify opportunities for collaborative initiatives and tailor-made programmes.

  4. Solutioning Portfolio Expansion: Drive the expansion of postgraduate, part-time degrees, executive programmes (in-bound and out-bound), skillsfuture career transition programmes, workplace learning and other new portfolios.

    Exploring new avenues for impactful solutions, revenue generation and market presence.

  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Programme/Course Directors, external trainers, adjuncts, and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients and partners.

  6. Business Model Innovation: Develop and implement win-win business models, leveraging funding opportunities where applicable, to enhance the financial sustainability of initiatives e.g., Mentorship support grants and capability development grants.

  7. Client Engagement Management: Lead a team and oversee the client engagement processes and touch points, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for stakeholders.

  8. Feedback Management: Manage feedback and debrief sessions with program directors, operations, and admin teams as necessary, ensuring continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

  9. Strategic Participation: Actively participate in strategic events, outreach activities, and marketing initiatives to enhance the visibility and reputation of SIT.

  10. Adaptability and Project Management: Demonstrate adaptability and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines.

  11. Staff Work.

    Develop papers and reports for senior management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience within the CET, postgraduate and/or executive education industry.

  2. Proven record in leading revenue growth and market expansion both locally and regionally.

  3. Proven record in seeding leads, winning deals, and business development within the education sector.

    Experience in handling large key accounts and cultivating strategic partnerships.

  4. Proven competencies in solutioning, curriculum design and development and pitching.

  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

    Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external associate faculty.

  6. Sets a personal example, following through on promises and commitments to internal and external stakeholders.

  7. Effectively manages time and resources, meet deadlines and flag delays.

  8. Driven, passionate and determination to succeed and ensure team success.

    Sets the highest personal performance and behavioral standards for self.

  9. Train, mentor and coach team members to deliver results and nurture customer lifetime value.

    Accepts personal responsibility to make things happen.

  10. Adapts quickly and seize opportunities, even in situations of uncertainty.
