What the role is

As Deputy Director (Marcoms), you will be part of the Corporate Communications team of the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA).

Public trust is crucial in managing current and future public health threats and this trust can be built through effective strategic, media and marketing communications.

Hence this role leading the Marcoms department within the Corporate Communications division will contribute to building the mindshare of CDA as the voice of authority in communicable diseases, build up the branding of CDA locally and internationally, and educate the public on communicable diseases and preventive measures so that they can take appropriate actions to protect themselves and their communities.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What you will be working on

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the Marcoms team in managing corporate branding and development of corporate publications and corporate collaterals
  • Drive development and implementation of social media strategy and content development, managing CDA social media channels and CDA corporate website
  • Lead the development and implementation of national public education campaigns and management of vendors for national public education marketing campaigns
  • Drive roll-out of annual national public education campaigns utilising media, digital media, and out-of-home channels
  • Drive procurement of vendors for media buying, creatives and market research for national public education campaigns
  • Track overall usage of tender contract and effectiveness of national public education campaigns in reaching CDA strategic communication objectives and campaign objectives
  • Drive development and implementation of annual social media strategy, in alignment with annual CDA communications strategy
  • Drive content development of all CDA social media pages and edit content for all social media posts
  • Drive content development for CDA corporate website to ensure that it provides up-to-date information and is the go-to site for communicable diseases content
  • Edit all content to be uploaded on corporate website
  • Track user engagement and other metrics of CDA corporate website and across all social media channels
  • Drive corporate branding and development of corporate publications like annual report and development of corporate collaterals like corporate brochure and corporate video and corporate gifts

What we are looking for

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years experience with the government sector, healthcare institution or a medium to large organisation preferably handling social media, website, content development, marketing communications, with relevant team leader experience
  • Resilient team leader and player
  • Excellent communication and written and editing skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with tight timeframes
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and interpersonal skills

About Communicable Diseases Agency

The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) was established in 2025 as a statutory board under Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) to serve as the central authority for public health policymaking to manage and control the threat of communicable diseases.

This is aimed at strengthening Singapore's public health capabilities built during the COVID-19 response to ensure a unified command and coordinated approach across all situations, from routine disease control to future outbreaks.
CDA safeguards the nation from communicable diseases through disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, vaccination programs, public education, and global health collaboration.

Beyond domestic activities, the CDA aims to expand Singapore's global outreach and foster collaboration with international partners.
