Responsibilities
Support NPI (New Product Introduction) on product design and development.
Oversee the design and documentation of components made from precision machined parts and sheet metal.
Employ Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools to enhance design manufacturability.
Conduct impact analysis to refine designs, ensuring they meet specifications, project timelines, and cost objectives.
Participate in technical discussions and present design solutions to clients.
Coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
Prepare drawing proposal and tooling design.
Conduct tooling buy-o7 and hands-on tooling setup.
Initiate and conduct the improvement project evaluation.
Liaise with customer on design requirement and alignment.
Liaise with factory on capability compliance.
Responsible on tooling expenses and cost control.
Requirements
Min.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering/ Precision Engineering.
Proficient in using Solidworks and/or other 3D modelling software
Proficient in using CAD/CAM Programming
Preferably with working knowledge and experience in tool & die, jig & fixtures design.
Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
