Job Description
- Conceptualise designs and design carbide press tools for high precision metal stamped parts, deep draw parts and forming parts.
- Study part drawing, prepare layout according to product requirement independently.
- Complete tool design accordingly to requirement independently.
- Ensure smooth transition from product design and development to production.
- Resolve any design technical issues in a timely manner and recommend improvements on new & existing tools.
- Follow up with toolmaker on tooling during assembly and testing.
- Provide guidance to draughtswoman to finish the modification on simple tooling design.
- Any other duties as assigned by superior and / or management.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die Engineering.
- Certification in the various design software.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Tool & Die Design.
- Practical knowledge in tool design & manufacturing technology.
High speed progressive tool design, forming or multi-slidedesign, machining, assembly, trouble shooting and dimension inspection.
- Ability to use AutoCAD/V6/solid works/CAD programs.
Interpersonal & communication skills.
