Optimize designs for functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturing feasibility.
Client Collaboration:
Lead client consultations to understand lifestyle needs, spatial constraints, and design preferences.
Present customized design proposals and material/finish selections through mood boards and virtual walkthroughs.
Technical Execution:
Generate precise production-ready drawings (BOM, cutting lists, assembly diagrams) aligned with factory standards.
Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
Project Management:
Oversee projects from concept to installation, resolving on-site design and fit issues.
Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and accessibility requirements.
Industry Innovation:
Research emerging trends in materials, hardware, and smart home integration for whole-home systems.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in custom furniture design with a proven portfolio in whole-home solutions (residential required; commercial is a plus).
Demonstrated expertise in custom cabinetry, built-in furniture, and space optimization for varied room types.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and 3D visualization tools (e.g., Enscape, VRay).
In-depth knowledge of material properties (wood, laminates, hardware) and manufacturing processes (CNC, joinery).
Design Competencies:
Strong ability to balance ergonomic functionality, aesthetic appeal, and technical constraints.
Expertise in modular storage systems and multifunctional space design.
