About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Desktop Engineer to provide technical support to government staff.
This role involves delivering prompt and effective resolution to IT issues, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite IT support across main and off-site locations, focusing on excellent customer service.
- Respond to escalated service cases from the helpdesk, ensuring timely resolution, updates, and accurate documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Support software distribution, patch management, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Install and maintain inventory scanning agents and software distribution agents on all IT assets.
- Reinstall agents on devices marked as non-responsive by asset administrators.
- Assist with hardware deployment, cloning, and agent reinstallation as required.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on disposed IT assets for tracking purposes.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all supported equipment and services.
- Adhere to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and actively contribute to improving support service quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in IT desktop or technical support.
