Technology Solutions Office is looking for DevOps Architect

In Activate, we are developing DevSecOps practices to empower our organization with continuously deepening cloud expertise, aiming to become a cloud-first System Integrator aligned with our Business Unit.

As part of the Solution delivery team, you will lead a dedicated DevSecOps team in identifying and achieving our business objectives through digital engagement and partner co-selling.

You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively and engage directly with customers alongside the sales team.

As the Lead of DevSecOps, you will be accountable for all activities of the Cloud and CI/CD team business and serve as a technology advocate across the organization.

This role requires continuous innovation and evolution of our solution offerings and execution strategy while remaining centered on the customer.

To be successful, you must have a deep understanding of Cloud technology and CI/CD practices, especially in the Singapore Government context.

You should be a cheerleader for cloud-centric approaches and an energetic partner engager, all aimed at upselling/cross-selling Activate's services/products and deepening customer relationships.

You will lead a team of Cloud operation experts to deliver presales targets aligned with various Business Units through proposal development.

You will ensure consistent execution with the right level of resources to address customer needs and accelerate their digital transformation through partner engagement.

What will you do?

Leadership and Strategy

• Develop and implement a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  
  
• Lead and mentor a team of DevSecOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  
  
• Collaborate with senior management to define and achieve security and operational objectives.
  
  
• Recruit, develop, and retain talent to build the next gen DevSecOps team and ensure the staff has the skills and capabilities to meet development needs
• Engage and coordinate with Cloud partners like AWS, Azure, Terraform, and GitLab to increase organizational awareness and resolve technical challenges.
  
  

Technical Expertise

• Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating security checks at every stage of the software development lifecycle.
  
  
• Oversee the implementation and management of cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS and Azure platforms.
  
  
• Implement and maintain security tools for vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and compliance monitoring.
  
  
• Develop and enforce security policies and standards across development and operations teams.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Continuously evaluate and optimize DevSecOps processes to improve efficiency, security, and quality of deliverables.
  
  
• Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of DevSecOps practices and drive improvements.
  
  
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in the DevSecOps space and evaluate their potential application within the organization.
  
  

Collaboration and Communication

• Foster strong relationships with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  
  
• Engage in high-level discussions with C-suite executives, technical teams, and external partners to drive strategic initiatives.
  
  
• Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on the status of DevSecOps initiatives and their impact on the organization.
  
  
• Expert-level proficiency in cloud technologies, with particular emphasis on AWS and Azure platforms.
  
  
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  
  
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitLab, AWS Code Pipeline, Azure Pipeline, Bamboo, and GitHub).
  
  
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments.
  
  
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  
  
• Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA) and their implementation in cloud environments.
  
  
• Essential knowledge of Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) architecture and compliance requirements.
