The Job
The Eldercare Programme Executive plays a vital role in the delivery of eldercare services within an assigned cluster.
This position is responsible for client intake, data management, volunteer coordination, and supporting the execution of community outreach activities.
The role also includes hotline rotation duties and facilitating communications with other support teams, such as funeral assistance, when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned cluster operations, ensuring all activities and services are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date records with no lapses to support reporting and follow-up actions.
- Conduct intakes, assessments, and ensure complete and accurate data entry in the system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for eldercare beneficiaries within the cluster.
- Coordinate monthly distributions (e.g. meal, grocery packs) according to the needs of the cluster.
- Facilitate and support events and initiatives that promote elder wellness.
- Support the planning and execution of monthly events and community outreach activities.
- Liaise with and coordinate volunteers for befriending programmes and community visits.
- Ensure proper matching of volunteers and support volunteer management efforts.
- Participate in hotline duty rotation, responding promptly and appropriately to calls.
- Transfer calls to relevant departments (e.g. funeral assistance team) as required.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Social Work or related disciplines
- At 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in community engagement or eldercare services is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and data management abilities.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or urgent support.
- Possess a good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaker recipients.
