Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Professional

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Professional to join our team.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant's electrical and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Planning and Coordination : Plan, coordinate, and manage daily E&I maintenance activities with in-house and external contractors to execute maintenance timely and effectively.

  • Equipment Reliability Analysis : Analyze and improve equipment reliability of utilities and facilities to prevent recurrence with production group and contractors.

    Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and follow up actions with senior engineers.

  • Spare Parts Management : Prepare/Review spare parts list and equipment data inventory control and ensure critical spare availability.

    Optimize spare parts and manage stock effectively by using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Shutdown/Grade Change Maintenance : Manage annual shutdown/Grade change maintenance (Work planning, Management of actual site work, Liaising with contractors and production group).

  • PLC System Maintenance : Good knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC system maintenance/inspection of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment (e.g., TI, TT, PI, PT, CV, on/off valve, motor, Switchgear, MCC, etc.).

  • Troubleshooting : Leading troubleshooting efforts when E&I problems occur.

    Quickly diagnose the cause and ensure that repairs are carried out effectively.

  • Continuous Improvement : Support implementation and participate in the continuous improvement effort in areas of Safety, Quality, Environment, and Health Management System (for example SS506 part 3, ISO 9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, IATF 16949).

  • Health and Safety : Have a legal obligation to act in a responsible manner for the safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their actions or omissions at work.

  • Risk Reduction : Assist management in ensuring major accident hazards are reduced as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) and escalate when necessary.

  • Teamwork : Work as a team and support inter- and intra-departmental works and demonstrate company core values.

  • EHSQ Compliance : Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EHSQ policies by review and implement MSRA.

Requirements

  • Educational Background : Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience : At least 5 years of experience in E&I maintenance, preferably in a similar industry.

  • Skills and Qualifications : Excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, knowledge of CMMS software, experience with PLC system maintenance, good understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles, and compliance with EHSQ policies.
