QUANTITY SURVEYOR (ELECTRICAL & ELV)
About the Position
We are seeking a meticulous and resourceful Quantity Surveyor to join our team, specialising in Electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of quantity surveying activities, from performing accurate quantity take-offs and preparing cost estimates to supporting tender submissions and contract documentation.
You will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive, compliant, and timely proposals that meet project specifications and deadlines.
This position requires strong analytical and commercial skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple tenders while delivering cost-effective and high-quality solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs from tender requirement by reviewing drawings and technical specifications to accurately quantify Bill-of-Materials (BOM), to work within or to manage the tender closing date and time extensions
- Evaluate and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Compile the cost estimations for ELV, BMS solutions and relevant scope of works for the implementation
- Liaise with internal project/technical teams, and external vendors/subcontractors as to ensure alignment for our offered bid solutions with compliance to technical specifications and project timelines
- Prepare tender submissions and contract documents including bill of quantities (BQ), datasheets, technical proposal for ELV systems and/or BMS systems
- Assist and support the sales team for tender submissions
- Conduct cost analysis for project and maintenance works for bidding purposes, including value engineering to optimize project designs and construction methods to achieve cost-effectiveness
- Assist to solution vendors relationship engagement
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, code of practice, and industry standards
- Support updating of marketing materials include website
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in QS for Electrical & ELV system
Technical Skills
- Proficient in MS software (Excel, Words and PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and quantity take-off software
Additional Skills
- Familiar with Singapore construction, M&E industry practices and tendering portals such as Gebiz etc
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, cost management, and contract administration
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assigned tendering works concurrently
