Key Responsibilities
Lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams to ensure safe, systematic, and efficient project completion in alignment with approved design, operational, and safety standards.
Obtain necessary management approvals for ORP deliverables, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic objectives, asset operations philosophy, and lifecycle management frameworks.
Facilitate integration between project delivery teams and end users to ensure seamless handover and transition to steady-state operations.
Identify and highlight design or procedural deficiencies that may impact commissioning or startup, and propose practical solutions for resolution.
Provide technical direction and approval for project-specific commissioning plans, systemization philosophies, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, and associated handover documentation such as PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review) checklists.
Ensure that commissioning activities are properly integrated with project construction and operations milestones.
Review and approve Technical Queries (TQs), Site Queries (SQs), and field change proposals, ensuring technical integrity, compliance, and minimal impact to project schedule and cost.
Identify potential operational conflicts, assess and mitigate risks associated with simultaneous operations, and coordinate Permit to Work (PTW) processes, temporary tie-ins, and site facilities setup.
Ensure safety and operability are not compromised during construction, commissioning, or early operations in brownfield environments.
Drive lessons learned, best practice sharing, and continuous improvement across project commissioning activities.
Ensure systematic documentation and traceability for all commissioning, handover, and operational readiness activities.
Support the development of competency frameworks, training materials, and practical learning opportunities aligned with corporate development goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree Discipline preferably Chemical / Process / Mechanical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
Minimum of 15 years experience in design, construction, commissioning and start-up of oil & gas processing and production facilities (Onshore/Offshore), preferably with EPIC contracting companies of which a minimum eight (8) years Commissioning Coordinator/Team Leader.
Experience in operations, -commissioning, commissioning, start up and Hand-over activities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Relevant technical expertise.
Multi-discipline engineering exposure with trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
Good IT and analytical skills
