Responsibilities
Commissioning new medical equipment.
Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance.
Update and maintain proper equipment records.
Assist in investigation for medical equipment related incidents and put up report.
Assess medical equipment put up for condemnation by end-users.
Achieve service goals, targets and department Key Performance Indicators
Supervise and co-ordinate work performed by external contractors.
Liaise and manage external contractors on service matters and contractual issues.
Provide guidance to Senior/Engineering Assistants in their work.
Delegate assignments to junior staff.
Conduct On-Job Training (OJT) for junior staff.
Assist in Group-BME work such as contract management, specs drafting as part of the tender documents, project papers and presentations for management approval.
Assist HOD in the preparation of monthly reports, annual capital and operating budgets for the department.
Lead/Manage Team operations and morale.
Perform other tasks and roles as and when assigned.
Job Requirements
At least a Diploma in Electronics or relevant Engineering course with at least 8 years of experience in service and maintenance of medical equipment
At least a Degree in Electronics or in relevant Engineering course with at least 2 years of experience in service and maintenance of medical equipment
Preferably with experience working in healthcare institutions
Good analytical and organization skills
Strong communication (both written and oral), problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders
Advantageous to have basic understanding in Cybersecurity and IT network knowledge
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
Adaptable and able to respond to changing and ambiguous situations
