Job description

Engineer (Digital Fabrication & Additive Manufacturing Centre)

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as an active member to support the core interests and development plans of DFAMC.

  • Apply industry-leading technologies and good engineering practices in Additive Manufacturing (AM) to undertake and drive projects and training.

  • Work closely with team members, stakeholders, industry partners, relevant associations and agencies to secure project funding, and to deliver programmes related to training, outreach, competition and other core centre initiatives and developments.

  • Plan, lead, collaborate, manage and develop projects with industry partners.

  • Demonstrate good problem-solving, evaluative and judgment skills based on sound analysis and application of technical knowledge and skills through gained experience.

  • Work collaboratively with team lead and members as a functional team for R&D work, contribute to operational and strategic decision making, and establish quality and process improvement protocols.

Pre-requisities:

  • Qualification in suitable disciplines including Engineering and Additive Manufacturing.

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in Additive Manufacturing in relevant industries.

  • Competent in the following areas:

  • a) Good working knowledge in AM technologies and the use of a variety of 3D printers, scanners and CAD software.

  • b) Knowledgeable in material and chemical safety, handling, and processing.

  • Proven track record in project management and development.

  • Possess passion and genuine interest in AM, and in sharing of knowledge.

  • Possess good command of English Language, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
