We are seeking a qualified professional to lead and support quality management activities within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and responsible for maintaining Plant procedures, work instructions and forms associated with customers’ products, processes, and supplier management that comply with the QMS structure and customers’ requirements.
Oversee the creation, review and management of all customers’ quality control plans with reference to customer specifications, requirements and expectations, including New Product Introduction (NPI), First Article Inspection (FAI), Failure Analysis (FA) and its associated inspection and process control requirements and operations.
Maintain the need for tests, assessments, qualifications and validations of environment, tools, equipment, machineries, processes, systems and products within the manufacturing process, including documented records to support NPI, to remain qualified and/or validated.
Participate proactively as a contributor to the Customer Focus Team (CFT) on product and process quality matters.
Support Product Quality Engineering on product quality issues, including submission of regular quality reports to meet customer expectations and to support the closure of CAPA and CCN.
Support Supplier Quality Engineering on supplier quality issues, including consolidation of quality records to support the closure of SCAR.
Provide advice and guide Quality personnel on process control specifications and requirements, quality control plans, process FMEA, product RMA, rework, repair, purge, quality alert notifications, temporary deviations, non-conformance parts/components/materials reporting, and all associated queries related to the QMS/EMS and customer specifications.
Monitor, assess customer returns and work on corrections, corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and manufacturing process.
Monitor, coordinate and manage all inspection, measurement and test equipment maintenance programs within the manufacturing process, including calibration scheduling.
Manage and enforce counterfeit supplies avoidance measures and controls to ensure compliance with Corporate policies and Plant QMS requirements.
Conduct risk management matters and documentation associated with QMS, EMS, DCC, CCN and CAPA processes and systems.
Provide reinforce training on Plant procedures and forms associated with the QMS/EMS, customers’ specifications, requirements and expectations to peers and subordinates.
Interface with manufacturing and inter-departmental personnel to drive continual improvement in product and process quality.
Participate in internal and external audits (1st party, 2nd party, 3rd party) and assist with audits where applicable and necessary.
Participate in customer and supplier audits where applicable and necessary.
Manage and participate in regulatory body audits and statutory inspections.
Contribute to Supplier Quality performance and work with suppliers on incoming parts/components/materials quality matters for continual improvement, including system and compliance audits during supplier selection, qualification/evaluation and re-evaluation.
Participate in reviewing and approving NCMRs to ensure proper classification and qualification in MRB, and drive corrective actions and timely dispositions.
Monitor and drive efficiency by controlling costs and deliverables related to non-conforming parts/materials in MRB with clear dispositions and deadlines.
Oversee reporting of Plant and Corporate performance metrics in PQE and SQE areas.
Foster effective communication across departments to support quality improvements.
Collaborate on departmental improvement projects to boost productivity and reduce waste; lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Support CAPA, Change Control, Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Kaizen initiatives within the department.
Adhere to and uphold Plant procedures and work instructions as needed.
Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years experience in electronics manufacturing environment as QA Engineer or related role; IMS industry experience preferred.
Experience in incoming quality assurance and daily operational deliverables is an advantage.
Project Management and Leadership capabilities.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ESD control or related field preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing in PCBA environments and related IPC standards preferred.
Knowledge of International Industrial standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, US FDA 21 CFR Part 820, US FDA 21 CFR Part 11, PMDA MHLW Ordinance 169, MDSAP) required.
Knowledge of Quality Tools and problem-solving skills preferred.
Experience with Agile PQM, Agile PLM, Receiving Meastro, Inspection Meastro, SQR, Oracle and MRB preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 6-Sigma Management preferred.
FMEA training and Technical Writing experience an advantage.
Experience with AI and automation applications is a plus.
Strong soft skills in managing people with analytical and logical thinking.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Looker Studio.
