Our client is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to join their team

What you'll be doing?

  • Set the standard: Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies, standards, and procedures across the company, promoting a safety-first culture.

  • Ensure compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, communicate with authorities, and support EHS Managers in implementing policies at the project level.

  • Manage risks: Conduct site inspections, review findings, investigate incidents, and implement improvements to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Embrace technology: Implement digital tools to enhance EHS performance and analyze data to drive continuous improvement.

  • Educate and empower: Plan and deliver regular EHS training programs for staff, workers, and subcontractors, ensuring everyone is well-informed on safety practices.

  • Be the voice of safety: Represent the company in industry groups and stakeholder meetings, organizing initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.

  • Foster collaboration: Maintain open communication with management and project teams to align EHS directions with operational goals.

Who are they looking for?

  • Engineering expertise: Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) with PE Board (with a valid PE Practicing Certificate) and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

  • Proven track record: At least 10-12 years of EHS experience in construction industry, including 7 years in a managerial capacity for building projects, demonstrating your ability to lead and innovate.

  • Comprehensive knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS management systems, regulations, and best practices in Singapore's construction industry.

  • Excellent communicator: Ability to articulate vision, goals, and strategies effectively to influence teams and achieve objectives.

  • Data-driven decision maker: Experience using empirical data and measurements to improve efficiency and EHS performance.

  • Detail-oriented problem solver: Skilled at scrutinizing safety plans and identifying potential risks for effective management.

Other Information:

  • Working Day: Mon to Fri, 8am - 6pm & Sat 8am - 1pm
  • Salary: $7000 - $10000
