PRIMARY FUNCTION
A results-driven assistant sales manager/sales manager to lead sales efforts and oversee the planning and execution of events.
This role combines business development, wedding planning, sales, client relationship management, and event coordination to drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Wedding, Catering Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, bridal fairs, venue partnerships, and digital platforms
- Respond to event inquiries promptly and convert leads into confirmed bookings
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities, build a robust pipeline, and convert leads into customers
- Manage and maintain long-term client relationships
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts for potential clients
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve event offerings and competitiveness
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, bookings, and client communication
- Track and report on monthly and quarterly sales targets and conversion rates
Client Relationship & Event Coordination Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for prospective clients from inquiry through to event execution
- Conduct site visits and venue show-arounds with potential clients
- Customize event proposals and packages to suit client needs and budgets
- Maintain strong relationships with past and repeat clients to generate referrals and recurring bookings
- Work closely with restaurant operations, kitchen, and service teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Provide clear event briefs and support the delivery of high-quality guest experiences
- Liaise with third-party vendors as needed (e.g. decorators, AV, entertainment)
Requirement:
- Diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 - 4 years of proven track record of securing and managing corporate/private events and weddings.
- Experience in catering sales, corporate events, or hospitality.
- Customer-focused individual with a solid sales track record, preferably in a related industry.
- Possess lots of drive and eager to exceed sales targets.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, result-oriented, with strong planning and organizational skills;
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and event management software.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
