Job description

Overview
As part of the Environmental Technology and Industry Development Division, the Resource Planning & Development Department develops and implements land strategies to address the Environmental Services industry’s land resource challenges.

You will play an active role in influencing land policies and strategies to safeguard land resources for current and future industry needs, and to uplift the industry’s land productivity to ensure a sustainable delivery of essential environmental services in Singapore.


Responsibilities
Analyse industry land data and business trends to facilitate policy and planning
Develop and recommend land optimisation approaches to intensify the use of land to improve industry productivity
Develop and recommend the desired industry engagement strategy on land-use productivity to achieve industry development and transformation objectives
Identify and develop assistance and/or incentive schemes to facilitate the adoption of land intensification solutions
Coordinate and implement land planning matters and public infrastructure needs with internal stakeholders and relevant agencies
Review and manage applications by companies on land allocation matters, including assessing their future plans, solutions and technologies to ensure that the proposed activities are aligned to overall industry development’s objectives
Prepare policy papers and briefs to facilitate timely updates to senior management
Prepare and deliver presentations at platforms involving senior public officers and other key stakeholders
What we are looking for
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in resource planning and/ policy work for industry development and transformation
Familiarity and interest in the areas of environmental services industry, business development and land resource/ infrastructure planning would be advantageous
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
Self-driven, resourceful and highly independent with good analytical, writing, and presentation skills
Collaborative team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Good IT skills and proficient with Microsoft Office
Able to work under tight timelines
