NIE invites suitable candidates for the position of Executive with the Public, International and Alumni Relations (PIAR) department.
Responsibilities
Report to the Manager or Head of Department, to support the Institute and department's initiatives and projects in the following areas of work:
Hospitality Relations
- Co-manage incoming visits to NIE as part of building brand engagement and experience.
- Co-manage the NIE Visitors Learning Centre.
- Co-manage the Institute's graduation ceremonies in various areas including guest management, production of graduation videos, receptions, etc.
- Assist in Institute/University events as and when required.
Media Relations
- Pitch compelling story ideas to local and international media to raise NIE's visibility and reputation.
- Co-manage media relations, including handling queries, issuing media releases, and coordinating interviews.
- Track media performance through reports, metrics, and coverage analysis to inform communication strategies.
Integrated Marketing & Alumni Relations
- Work with the social media team to ensure content is accurate, current and engaging.
- Assist all other NIE departments in branding and marketing strategies as and when required, such as managing print or motion production that supports the branding initiatives of the Institute.
- Co-manage the coordination and submission of various corporate reports to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the alumni team to develop and implement alumni relations strategy for engagement.
Requirements
- Minimally a polytechnic diploma in Business, Hospitality, Marketing or Communications.
- Good written and oral communication skills and strong networking skills.
- Proven experience in partner/event management, working with diverse teams to achieve objectives.
- Strong attention to details.
- Experience in hospitality or service industry will be an advantage.
- A dynamic team player who can also work independently.
- Adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills.

Other Information
NIE staff can take chartered buses at their own expense from or near their home to the NIE campus.
This is subject to the availability of bus routes and seats.
