Job Purpose
The Executive Engineer / Senior Engineer in the M&E Engineering Department shall be responsible to perform engineering analytics, provide engineering solutions and perform defect investigations to support the Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Systems of the SMRT Trains, Engineering Trains and Plant Equipment.
He shall be required to independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, engineering analytics of condition monitoring systems and develop engineering solutions to the problems identified.
He shall also be required to conduct data engineering, data analytics and generate visualizations to recommend actionable insights for maintenance and engineering
departments in SMRT.
Responsibilities
Qualifications & Work Experience
Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering / Computer Science / Computing
or equivalent from a recognised institution.
Demonstrated programming competency in Python or equivalent programming languages.
Demonstrated dashboarding competency in PowerBI or equivalent dashboarding software.
Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance
workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and Technical
Officers.
Able to work independently and as a team effectively adjusting oneself flexibly to different work
situations.
Able to independently conduct data analytics to generate actionable results.
Able to independently visualize data to explain concepts, insights, and trends.
Adept with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods such as FMECA, Fault Tree
analysis, Weibull analysis and Damage Tolerance Analysis, etc.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Effective organizational and planning skills.
Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English.
