JOB PURPOSE
The Social Media Executive will manage the Singapore Red Cross' (SRC) digital presence, with the planning, creation and execution of compelling content across social media platforms.
The role will also focus on strengthening community engagement, supporting local campaigns and outreach initiatives, and ensuring SRC's brand remains relevant, impactful and connected.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.
Content Planning
● Develop and implement social media content calendars in line with campaign objectives, seasonal moments, and organisational priorities.
● Work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure alignment with wider strategies and storytelling objectives.
2.
Digital Content Creation
● Adapt and design visually appealing, on-brand graphics, videos and digital assets for social media.
● Support copywriting for posts that are audience-centric, engaging, and aligned with SRC's tone of voice.
3.
Social Media Management
● Manage SRC's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X), including content scheduling, community engagement, and proactive responses.
● Monitor conversations, comments, and messages to build communities, strengthen relationships with audiences and manage reputation.
4.
Video & Trend Content
● Ideate, storyboard and produce trendy short-form video content (e.g. Reels, TikToks) and photojournalistic visuals that reflect current social trends.
● Trendjack and benchmark against industry activities to keep SRC's brand presence fresh and engaging.
5.
Campaign Coordination
● Assist in the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, contributing creative ideas, supporting materials, and coordination of assets.
● Capture behind-the-scenes moments photography/videography for storytelling.

Analytics & Reporting and volunteer stories through
● Track, analyze, and report on social media performance and campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations to optimise engagement and reach.
● Conduct market research to identify audience trends and opportunities for growth.
7.
Agency, Freelancers & Volunteer Management
● Liaise with external agencies, freelancers and creative partners to brief, review, and deliver high-quality content.
● Coordinate and engage volunteers to support social media and campaign-related activities, leveraging their skills to enhance SRC's digital outreach.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications & Experience
● Degree / Diploma in Marketing/Mass Communications/Business Administration or a related discipline
● At least 2 years of relevant experience working in Social Media Management, Content Creation or Digital Marketing
● Proficiency in design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canca, Capcut, Premiere Pro
● Strong grasp of current social media platforms, trends, and analytics tool
● Creative thinker with an eye for visual storytelling and detail.
● Strong communication, writing and project coordination skills.
● Excellent written and spoken communications skills in both English and a 2nd language (Mandarin, Malay or Tamil)
