[What the role is]
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore.[What you will be working on]
Formulate and provide recommendations on policy and programmes related to engineering/ technology in Lifts and Escalators and as well as Amusement Rides
Strategise, plan and coordinate stakeholders’ engagement to manage related issues such as aging equipment
Design our strategic communications to shape and influence stakeholders’ behaviour
Research and identify areas of new technologies and develop strategies to tackle existing challenges
Review and streamline existing policies and programmes, or develop new ones
In addition to the above roles and responsibilities:
You will be required to review design and conformance to safety standards of Lift and Escalators and as well as Amusement Ride
You will carry out field inspection and investigation of incidents, including availability outside regular office hours, on weekends, and during public holidays as required
[What we are looking for]
A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a university recognised by the Professional Engineers Board
Registered/attaining registration as a professional mechanical or electrical engineer with the Professional Engineers Board will be an advantage.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in working with policy and planning teams in areas related to engineering and/or technology
Strategic thinker with collaborative attitude and able to work well in a diverse team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong presentation skills
Strong ability to manage and engage both internal and external stakeholders, including local and overseas partners.
