Overview
Executive/Senior Executive (Finance and Operations) role at National University of Singapore.
The Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute (CFI) Singapore is looking to hire an Executive or Senior Executive (Finance and Operations) to support the upcoming tranches of research grants awarded by the Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Research Programmes (Applied Research) and 8–10 new core projects awarded by CFI Singapore (averaging $2 million per project), and to assist in RIE2030 funding for the next phase of CFI Singapore.
Responsibilities
Manage finance reporting for core projects funded by CFI Singapore in Tranche 3 and applied research projects won by CFI Singapore, including liaison with partner institutions.
Work with PUB on financial proposals for the second phase of CFI funding under RIE2030.
Finance reporting to PUB and NRF and assist PI in financial management and grant accountability and internal and external audit (for both NUS and liaison with partner institutions).
Assist in procurement for core projects funded by CFI Singapore in Tranche 3 and applied research projects won by CFI Singapore.
Assist in management of all seed grants owned by CFI Singapore.
Office administration duties including fixed asset management, safety and space.
Other duties as directed by Executive Director and Director (Operations).
Qualifications
At least a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Prior experience as Finance Business Partner in an education industry is preferred.
Have full set of accounts experience with AR & AP experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, stakeholder management, communicate effectively across all levels, and strong problem-solving skills.
Good problem-solving skills and strong business acumen.
Positive, can-do attitude, meticulous, able to work with data and perform hands-on tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and familiar with financial software and accounting principles.
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Pro-active with a positive and resilient attitude.
Meticulous, independent and able to meet deadlines.
Good time management and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Open to fixed-term contract.
