Job Description
The Singapore Population Health Studies (SPHS) is a large-scale population-based health research initiative in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore.
This role is vital to the health assessment operations of the cohort studies that contribute to a Singapore population biobank.
Duties & Responsibilities
1.
Participate in operational planning and the development and documentation of Work Instructions (WI) and SOPs for the data collection protocol.
2.
Source and coordinate with vendors for the procurement and supply of services or goods required for health screening operations.
3.
Perform health screening procedures according to WIs and SOPs. Examples of procedures: anthropometric measurements, blood pressure measurement, retinal imaging, ECG, visual acuity test, hand grip strength measurement, carotid ultrasound and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA).
4.
Ensure participant safety and privacy through adherence to established guidelines and work practices.
5.
Participate in or conduct periodic technical re-assessments to ensure standardization and consistency in data collection and image acquisition.
6.
Implement new procedures for future research projects.
7.
Opportunity to take on the role of a supervisor to actively train, assess and supervise trainees involved in research operations.
