Job Responsibilities
Facility operation
Support in managing the manufacturing and R&D facilities of an FCBGA substrate factory to ensure world-class facilities.
Support in maintaining smooth operation and maintenance of critical systems including:
HVAC, exhaust, and related mechanical systems, including scrubbers
Electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage)
Process cooling water systems
Pure water, wastewater treatment, and reclaim plant operations
Chemical delivery systems (e.g., resist, plating/developing solutions, stripping, etching, flux cleaning) and bulk gas (e.g., nitrogen) delivery
Building management and maintenance
Support in maintaining continuous supply of utilities and ensuring all facilities meet performance specifications to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Support utility / process / system energy efficiency program – compilation of data, analysis of data and recommendation to stakeholders to reduce wastage or find alternative energy efficient methodology
Able to formulate effective reporting and tracking systems for monitoring of system performance and capacity usage.
Recommend and implement improvement/enhancement projects where appropriate.
Knowledge of all relevant standards, legislations, codes of practice etc and ensure their compliance.
Project Coordination and Construction
Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, business units, and other stakeholders to oversee the construction and setup of facility projects.
Performance and Improvement
Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) set by your departmental head to sustain top-tier facilities systems.
Overseeing projects for upgrading, expanding, and improving system reliability, reducing operational costs, and safeguarding company assets.
Team Development and Management
Provide guidance and training on the systems in charge to fellow colleagues so as ensure adequate working knowledge and system backup
Facilities Budget Management
Support in the plan, forecast, and manage budgets and cost control for facility operations.
Energy and Space Management
Support in managing energy consumption, implement strategies to enhance energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
Support in implementation of EnMS (Energy Management System) for monitoring, controlling and conserving energy use in our building or organization.
Documentation and Quality Control
Ensure historical data is documented for traceability and maintain and regularly update line drawings.
Support in developing and implementing methods and priorities to ensure optimal facility performance and avoid unscheduled interruptions.
Support in developing and implementing documentation systems that comply with QS 9000 and ISO 14001 standards.
Continuous Improvement and Methodologies
Utilize methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, DOE, and PDCA to train employees, enhance problem-solving skills, and improve work methods.
Safety and Security
Support in creating and enforcing safe work procedures and security policies to protect personnel and property.
Support in Implementing strict safety rules and managing physical security measures, access control, and surveillance.
Preventive Maintenance
Creating and executing a master schedule for preventive maintenance.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals.
Job Requirements
Professional Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering/Facility Management.
At least 3 years of experience in facilities management, with a preference for experience in semiconductor or LCD fabs.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Able to use Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of IATF16949, QS9000, and ISO14001.
Capability to carry out the tasks outlined in the Responsibilities section above.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Attributes:
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with multiple departments.
Comfortable to be on standby and return to the office within 2 hours of emergency.
A collaborative and cooperative personality is preferred.
