Overview

The Warehouse Hotel is a meticulously restored 37-room modern boutique hotel in Robertson Quay, part of the Design Hotels portfolio.

Historically detailed architecture bridges heritage and the contemporary, with thoughtful hospitality at its core.

The Warehouse Hotel is part of The Lo and Behold Group, a hospitality company known for creating timeless destinations and thought-leading experiences.

We are passionate about shaping a city through hospitality, grooming the next generation of leaders, and building career paths with training modules, incentives, and recognition programmes to reward good work.

This role is one of the few positions primed to directly influence the guest experience, ensuring guests leave happy and satisfied with the service and experience at our restaurants, including identifying opportunities to delight in day-to-day service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform opening duties to prepare for service and closing duties at the end of your shift, using sound judgment to balance speed and guest comfort.

  • Prepare the restaurant for opening and closing.

  • Dress tables with the correct number of place settings, including crockery, silverware, glasses, and napkins.

  • Maintain the restaurant's overall cleanliness at all times.

  • Assist management and hosts to meet, greet, and seat guests, and issue them food and wine menus.

  • Introduce yourself to guests and inform them of special offers and stock shortages before they select items from the menu.

  • Proactively anticipate guests’ needs.

  • Ensure beverages are served swiftly and replenished continuously.

  • Ensure accuracy when entering orders into the POS system.

  • Follow up on food and beverage orders with the BOH.

  • Check on guests to establish satisfaction with the product and overall experience and provide feedback to management.

  • Issue guests with their check on request and greet and thank them sincerely on departure.

  • Perform closing duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, and preparing linens for collection by laundry service.
