A well-known global telecommunications provider is seeking a Field Network Engineer to be based in Singapore.
This role is critical to the ongoing reliability and performance of the company’s cable infrastructure, ensuring seamless global connectivity.
Responsibilities
Deliver operations and maintenance support for DWDM/SDH/Ethernet/IP/MPLS transmission equipment, including Submarine Cable Landing Stations.
Resolve proactive and reactive L1 faults in network equipment and customer circuits through detailed analysis, troubleshooting, and incident response.
Coordinate with NOC technicians and local service providers to track and resolve issues through to closure.
Conduct testing, upgrades, and migrations to maintain and improve service reliability.
Uphold operational standards, safety practices, and service availability targets.
Qualifications
Strong technical background from a telecommunications or data center environment, with hands-on experience in submarine cable or related network infrastructure.
Proficiency in SDH or LAN, with solid foundation in troubleshooting and incident resolution.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 operations environment.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing independent work with cross-team collaboration.
