Key Responsibilities
Develop and expand PI’s presence within South APAC, with a primary focus on Singapore.
This will include travel to other territories not limited to: Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Achieve quarterly and annual targets set by management
Visit customers onsite regularly to provide a company product presentations, update new products, technologies, and information, and discuss customer ongoing and future projects
Work and collaborate closely with distributors/ partners
Pursue decision makers of the projects, understand customer requirements, competitors, and sales situations, and develop sales & marketing action plans and take actions
Collaborate with customers, and our technical teams such as field application engineers and specialists in Singapore/Germany/China/Japan/USA to propose possible solutions to customers
Follow up on customer projects, sales situations, and market demands to create weekly, quarterly, and annual reports
Organisation and participation in trade and road shows
Other tasks as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in similar Field Sales Engineer role
Good communication skills
Knowledge in Motion & Control, System Integration, and/or Automation machine fields (i.e. linear translation stage, linear motor, drivers, motion controllers, gantry system)
Able to cold call, discuss with new customers and develop customer engagements/ collaboration
Hunger to learn new technologies, customer applications, and markets
Occasional travel to adjacent markets (Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam) as well as visits to PI’s international sites (Germany, China, USA) for training purposes
Experienced with CRM tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
