As a Network Engineer, you will provide the highest standards in installation & service call work whilst establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all stakeholders and Third Party Contractors.
Manage small works deliveries as required and be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, surveying and testing hardware and software at client sites.
The position will expect the candidate to bring new ideas and Support the Third Party Director with the onboarding.
Job Duties:
· Ownership of properties assigned to your region and escalations to resolve.
· Identify coverage gaps in our field services and develop our Third Party resources for the region for Break fix, Cabling and smart hands deployment services.
· Conduct any site surveys, break/fix service calls, installations or conference set-up/support requested of you.
· Carry out installation tasks as directed by the Project Manager.
· Install, configure and troubleshoot networking hardware and software on customer premises
· Lead installations at customer sites, ensure daily install progress and manage 3rd Party Contractors onsite.
· Maintain knowledge of Company products, installation processes and configuration standards through regular review of training materials.
· Provide remote technical support to 3rd Party Contractors and onsite resources.
· Escalate any issues to their line manager and Project Manager in a timely manner.
· Ensure daily updates are detailed and communicated back to their line manager and Project Manager.
· Perform hotel staff training and installations sign off.
· Complete all configuration and documentation accurately and on time.
· Provide remote troubleshooting and break fix to existing customer sites.
· Required to participate in out of hours call out and any on call rotation for network emergencies during contract life cycle if required.
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Essential :
· Good English language skills and fluent in local language.
· Knowledge of Ethernet networks and Internet connectivity methods
· Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and server hardware advantageous
· Good knowledge of configuring switches (HP, Brocade & Cisco) and Wi-Fi hardware (Ruckus, Cisco Meraki, HP/Aruba)
· RF heat map production and spectrum analysis surveys using Air Magnet survey tools
· Familiarity with Fortinet & Juniper is beneficial
· Understanding of cabling standards
· Any technical qualifications are advantageous
