This role will assist in statutory and regulatory reporting, analysis and monitoring, implementation of regulatory changes, assist in the implementation of controls and improving existing processes and other ad hoc matters.
He/she will report to the local Head of Finance and Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Head Office reports.
- Maintenance of General Ledger.
- Participate in system change and enhancement.
- Participate in month-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
- Maintain local procedures/controls.
- Work closely with system project teams.
- Conduct analysis on new rules and requirements and identify the effects on regulatory reports, practices and procedures.
- Any duty as assigned by the Head of Finance and Accounting.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 relevant experience within the Banking industry, Finance & Accounting space with prior experience in banking regulatory reporting.
- Experience in preparing MAS returns (specifically on the revised MAS610) and good understanding of banking products.
- Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant or ACCA holders will be a plus
- Strong in Microsoft Excel.
