THE ROLE
The Fixed Ie Institutional Portfolio Manager (IPM) is an integral member of the MFS Fixed Ie Investment organization.
The role is a member of and represents portfolio teams in direct engagements with clients, prospects, consultants & gatekeepers, and other marketplace stakeholders across Asia and Australia/New Zealand, providing transparency of investment philosophy, process and portfolio strategy.
This role will be principally focused on Global fixed ie strategies.
The IPM also serves as an investment leader for internal MFS stakeholders to shape investment narratives, share market insights,municate portfolio strategy, and serve as a subject matter expert in assisting the execution of strategic initiatives.
The IPM delivers marketplace insights to investment teams and contributes to ongoing enhancement of investment process and overall alignment to client objectives and expectations.
This position is located in MFS' Singapore investment office and will report to the MFS Head of Institutional Fixed Ie.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Integrate into portfolio management teams with a strong level of credibility and respect Serve as the voice of the client within investment teams and across the Fixed Ie Investment organization, ensuring team awareness of client objectives, sharing client feedback, and promoting alignment to highest quality investment standards Deliver broad marketplace insights into the Fixed Ie Investment organization, including relevant trends, important developments, andpetitive insights and positioning Serve as the primary external and internal cross-organization representative of respective investment teams, providing depth and clarity on investment philosophy, process, portfolio strategy, and overall asset class insights Contribute investment insights and viewpoints as part of investment team strategy discussions Lead investment team preparation for optimizing client engagements Develop and support clear investment value proposition for respective strategies and partner across organization to ensure consistent understanding and marketplace delivery Partner with Product and RFP teams to develop and support oversight of investment collateral and to contribute to facilitating client deliverables Collaborate across distribution teams to catalyze and promote strategic initiatives, contribute to business planning and support overall organization-wide priorities Partner with investment and distribution teams to guide development of new investment strategies and capabilities Contribute to the development of thought leadership on important market and strategy-level topics Support a unified, team-oriented IPM organization focused on the development, execution, and sharing of best practices WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Ideally 7+ years of experiencemunicating, collaborating, and developing credibility with sophisticated institutional asset owners, consultants and gatekeepers Robust capability to deliver in-depth transparency for investment process, strategy viewpoints & portfolio positioning, with a refined ability to contextualize strategy-level perspectives within a global macroeconomic framework Broad knowledge of global and regional fixed ie markets, global macroeconomic environments, and important institutional investment management trends Strong written, verbal, and client-facing investmentmunication skills, with the capability to effectively tailor engagements to constituencies spanning a range of investment knowledge and experience Demonstrated history of proactively and effectively engaging with organizational stakeholders to develop collaborative partnerships and contribute to successfully executing strategic priorities Desire and capability to travel extensively throughout Asia and Australia/New Zealand as well as to other MFS investment offices in London and Boston Local Asia region language skills positively viewed
