We are seeking a Food Section Sales Manager, based in the retail store, with rotating shift hours.


JOB PURPOSE:
Maximize sales and profit in the Food department
Ensure operational standards across Hospitality formats
Understand local market trends for appropriate range and pricing feedback
Collaborate with Food Buying team to implement international food strategies locally
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver sales plans and identify opportunities to boost sales
Perform commercial probing to exploit opportunities
Implement sales promotions and follow sales strategies
Maintain effective merchandise displays and engage customers with product knowledge
Provide excellent customer service and manage service points effectively
Use of Space and Department Presentation:
Optimize space utilization based on commercial data and policies
Maintain store presentation standards in collaboration with Visual Merchandising
Prioritize promotional displays as planned
Analyze business information for stock management and optimize stock levels
Monitor sales of consignment goods and manage stock replenishment or returns
Regularly compare competitor pricing to maintain credibility
Ensure stock accuracy to meet business availability targets
Drive In-store Operational Efficiency:
Minimize losses and maximize profitability by managing staffing, theft, and expenses
Plan for seasonal sales, promotions, and stock needs
Enhance productivity and efficient work practices
People Management:
Lead and motivate staff to achieve high performance standards
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback
Identify talent and develop training plans
Engage and communicate effectively with the team
Other Responsibilities:
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager or management.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
At least 5 years in supermarket industry with supervisory/management experience
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; adaptable to changing needs
