Job description

Restaurant Team Lead

As a Restaurant Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading by example in a fast-paced environment.

You will establish rapport with guests to build loyalty and gather constructive feedback to ensure constant guest service improvement.

Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and serve only the highest-quality products.

Handle daily team member relations and encourage problem-solving through proper training and empowerment.

  • Greet and escort guests/customers to their allocated tables
  • Manage/handle guest restaurant reservations
  • Offer menu recommendations and suggest additional options based on good knowledge of menu (food and beverage) and presentation standards
  • Anticipate unexpected guest needs with prompt reaction
  • Serve guest orders as per restaurant standards
  • Record transactions/orders in Point of Sales terminal at the time of order
  • Communicate order details to kitchen staff
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas, chinaware, silverware, glassware, and keep the whole restaurant presentable
  • Review order dockets to guarantee correct preparations for orders received
  • Present accurate final bills to guests and process payment
  • Check bill accuracy before presenting to customer or processing payment
  • Perform shift closing on the Point of Sales terminal; tally cash and credit card settlements
  • Ensure the whole restaurant is always clean, organized and presentable
  • Implement brand standards and SOP's consistently
  • Complete closing duties, restocking items, closing reports, etc.

  • Routine inspection of outlet equipment to assure they are in proper working condition
  • Prepare a list of equipment in need of repair and maintenance
  • Take an active role in coaching and developing junior staff
  • Assume ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by Manager
