We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Fractional
VP of Business Development
to lead the acquisition of large logistics projects within the high-tech, medtech, and pharmaceutical sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong network and deep understanding of these industries, with proven success in
hunting and closing complex logistics deals .
This role requires close collaboration with our delivery and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met seamlessly.
Responsibilities
Identify, target, and pursue new business opportunities with medtech, pharmaceutical, high-tech, and related clients across the
APAC region .
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to win large-scale logistics projects, including
cold chain, compliance, and specialized handling requirements .
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (procurement, supply chain, operations heads) within target accounts.
Conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the medtech and pharma logistics space.
Collaborate with delivery, operations, and customer service teams to design customized logistics solutions that meet customer specifications and regulatory standards.
Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and contract negotiations to secure new business.
Augment and accelerate current customer spend to
increase maximum yield per client .
Manage sales pipelines, forecast revenue, and provide regular updates to senior
Management .
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferably
7–10 years of business development or sales experience in logistics , with a strong focus on medtech, pharmaceutical, or high-tech industries.
Proven track record
of hunting and closing large-scale logistics projects with complex requirements.
Established
network and relationships with senior stakeholders
in medtech, pharma, and high-tech companies across Asia.
Good understanding of
regulatory and compliance standards
affecting pharma and medtech logistics (e.g., GDP, FDA, EMA).
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and delivery teams to ensure flawless execution.
Results-driven, self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
Willingness to
travel
as required for client meetings and industry events.
Working arrangements: 2 days a week
Good to Have
MBA or advanced degree
in a relevant field.
Specific experience selling
cold chain solutions
within the pharmaceutical sector.
Fluency in a second relevant Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) to facilitate regional business development.
