What you'll be doing?
- Service Presentation & Sales: Present and sell comprehensive freight forwarding services including air freight, ocean freight, project cargo, and bulk shipment solutions to both existing and prospective customers, demonstrating value propositions that meet specific logistics needs.
- Business Development Excellence: Proactively hunt for prospective customers through strategic prospecting, networking, and market research to continuously expand the client base and identify new business opportunities in the competitive freight forwarding market.
- Solution Development: Understand complex customer requirements and propose tailored logistics solutions that optimize their supply chain operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency while maintaining service quality and reliability.
- Relationship Management: Establish, develop, and maintain positive long-term business relationships with customers, serving as their trusted logistics partner and primary point of contact for all freight forwarding needs and inquiries.
- Target Achievement: Consistently achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within scheduled timeframes through effective account management, strategic selling, and persistent follow-up with qualified prospects and existing clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate sales efforts effectively with team members and other departments including operations, customer service, and documentation teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence Reporting: Provide management with comprehensive reports on customer needs, market problems, business interests, and competitive activities to support strategic decision-making and business planning initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Maintain good understanding of Singapore Customs procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate guidance to customers regarding import/export requirements and documentation processes.
Who are they looking for?
- Educational Excellence: Candidates with Post Graduate qualifications that demonstrate advanced academic achievement and strong analytical capabilities for understanding complex logistics and international trade requirements.
- Specialized Experience: Professionals with minimum 3 years of direct experience in freight forwarding sales with established freight forwarding companies, demonstrating proven success in the logistics industry and understanding of market dynamics.
- Industry Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in freight forwarding sales processes, including air freight, ocean freight, customs clearance, and documentation requirements that support effective client consultation.
- Sales Performance: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, building customer relationships, and developing new business opportunities within the competitive freight forwarding and logistics services marketplace.
