Job Overview
The Front of House Manager ensures the smooth running of the residence and delivers the highest standards of service to our members and guests.
This role oversees residence staff, coordinates daily operations, manages events and guest experiences, and ensures the property is always presented at a world-class standard.
The ideal candidate is polished, discreet, and highly organised, with a strong background in luxury hospitality or private household management.
Key Responsibilities
Residence Operations
- Oversee daily residence activities to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Manage schedules, routines, and service standards for household staff.
- Supervise chefs, cleaners, drivers, and part-time contractors.
- Handle budgeting, expense tracking, household purchases, and bill payments.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and external service providers.
- Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of members and guests.
Property & Facilities Management
- Ensure the residence is always clean, safe, and immaculately presented.
- Oversee inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and manage service contracts.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and supervise residence staff, ensuring excellent performance.
- Manage rosters, attendance, and adherence to HR policies.
- Set and maintain high service standards, building a culture of excellence.
Guest Experience & Event Management
- Plan and coordinate private functions, family events, and guest visits.
- Oversee logistics, staffing, menu planning, and presentation.
- Ensure all guests receive warm, attentive, and professional service.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a House/Residence Manager, Butler Manager, or similar role in luxury hospitality or private households.
- Background in high-end hotels, resorts, or VIP butler service preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality protocols, etiquette, and high-touch service.
- Discreet, professional, and trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters.
- Hands-on, proactive, and independent, with strong initiative.
- Highly organised with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Calm under pressure and attentive to detail.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during events.
