Full Professor in Environment and Society
The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) is an interdisciplinary school at NTU that uses Earth and environmental science, engineering, technology, and the social sciences to address environmental challenges.
Research collaborations include the Earth Observatory of Singapore, Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering, and the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Health (CCEH).
Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant field and would normally hold a tenured Professorial position in a university (or equivalent institution).
Responsibilities
Build and lead a pioneering research programme in environment and society
Convene and lead large collaborative projects and initiatives at regional and global scales
Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in ASE
Contribute to mentoring and academic leadership within NTU
Develop collaborations with researchers across NTU, Singapore, and internationally
Qualities and Leadership
Candidates should have a strong track record of interdisciplinary research, demonstrated leadership in securing major grants and building collaborative networks, supervising graduate students, mentoring junior faculty, and contributing to institutional or programmatic development, especially within interdisciplinary environments.
The successful candidate will convene and inspire diverse teams and lead large-scale, high-impact research initiatives addressing environmental and societal challenges.
