Job Description
We're looking for a Founding Full-Stack ML Engineer to take ownership of building our MVP and setting the technical foundation for the company.
You'll be the first technical hire and will have the opportunity to directly shape both the product vision and technical roadmap.
Responsibilities
Build the MVP end-to-end:
Ingest public video/account data (YouTube API first).
- Transcribe audio (captions, Whisper/AssemblyAI fallback).
- Extract on-screen text (OCR) for silent/text-only videos.
- Rank videos by normalized engagement metrics.
- Classify hook styles and structures using LLMs.
- Generate AI-driven hook ideas and scripts.
Develop a clean, user-friendly web app:
Input box for profile links.
- Instant report page with top content + insights.
- Email capture and referral credit system.
- Implement reliable infrastructure: queues, storage, retries, monitoring.
- Ensure processing is cost-effective and scalable (<$0.10 per scan).
- Work directly with the founder to iterate quickly and integrate user feedback.
Requirements
- 4+ years building full-stack or ML-driven applications.
- Strong skills in Python (FastAPI) and
- Hands-on with ASR/NLP pipelines (Whisper, AssemblyAI, HuggingFace, OpenAI).
- Experience working with APIs and headless browser automation (YouTube Data API, Playwright, Puppeteer).
- Comfortable with Postgres, Redis/queues, and AWS/GCP deployments.
- Ability to ship lean MVPs fast with pragmatic, production-ready code.
- Product-first mindset: able to balance speed, user experience, and technical debt.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TikTok/Instagram scraping or APIs.
- Knowledge of OCR (PaddleOCR/Tesseract).
- Previous work on creator economy tools or content analytics platforms.
- Startup/early-stage experience, especially as the first technical hire.
What You'll Deliver in the First 90 Days
- Week 2: YouTube MVP live (crawl → transcripts → rank → hooks → ideas → report page).
- Week 4: Public landing page with referral credits and email capture.
- Week 6–8: Add OCR for text-only videos; Notion/CSV export.
- Week 9–12: Extend to TikTok ingestion; agency-style reports.
