Main Responsibilities
- Maintain the Bank's presence in the forex and precious metals markets, particularly in Asia.
- Support and execute daily FX and precious metals trading activities, ensuring best execution for all client orders.
- Manage all FX-related dealing business, including the monitoring and management of risk positions.
- Price and structure investment solutions, including structured products and OTC options for internal and external clients
- Engage and entertain Direct Access Trading (DAT) clients, providing high-touch service and real-time market access.
- Analyse, adapt, and further develop E-Trading workflows, driving the automation of relevant processes and interfaces.
- Lead and participate in department-specific digitalisation and IT projects, taking over sub-projects in the area of digitalisation.
- Ensure compliance with all internal guidelines, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including those set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other governing bodies.
- Serve as a point of contact for E-Trading related topics within the department.
- Collaborate closely with IT and other internal departments to achieve seamless process integration and workflow efficiency.
Key Competencies & Additional Duties
- Shared responsibility for the continuous improvement, execution, automation, and development of E-Trading processes.
- Provide support to the Regional Head of Forex Trading and assure efficient execution of FX products for Relationship Managers (RLM) and clients.
- Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal relations with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
- Academic degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in forex trading within a private bank.
- Strong knowledge of FX and precious metals trading, E-Trading platforms and processes, structured products, and OTC options.
- Affinity for digital processes, automation, and the use of trading-related IT systems (e.g., Sungard GL and Avaloq experience preferred).
- Independence, analytical thinking, and strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, self-initiative, cooperative, and customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Close collaboration required with IT and other departments.
