GEAR-UP (Guiding & Empowering students for Affiliation & Resilience to Unlock their Potential) Programme Instructors wanted to work

We have available Assignments for you if you have experience in GEAR-UP (Guiding & Empowering students for Affiliation & Resilience to Unlock their Potential) Programmes.

You should have the following experiences:

a.

Past experience & the necessary skills to work with students with Low learning abilities, Special Education Needs and/or at Risk Youth

b.

Be able to design and plan a developmentally appropriate enrichment programme for them

c.

motivate students and equip them with life skills and values through life skills lessons.

d.

Be familiar with GEAR-UP programs (see below)

GEAR-UP programs aim to achieve these objectives:

1.

To contribute to overall efforts in building a caring culture and safe environment for kids to interact and build strong, positive relationships and a greater sense of connectedness and belonging.

2.

To provide a safe and supportive place for meaningful activities, self-study and recreation after curriculum hours, and where developmental opportunities are available for students to build Social and Emotional (SE) competencies, and leadership skills.

3.

Participants must be able to build and maintain positive relationship with others such as their peers and teachers.

4.

Students must show an improvement in social and emotional competencies through a pre and post self-report; increase in positive relationships built with teachers and classmates; show an improvement in general attendance at school.
