Job Description
The role of a General Sales Manager is a senior-level position within Olam Agri responsible for overseeing and managing sales activities and strategies at a general level.
The role combines leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement in driving sales growth.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement the company's sales strategy at a general level, including setting sales targets, defining sales territories, and creating plans to achieve revenue and growth goals.
- Market Development: Assess market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Develop market entry strategies for new products or territories.
Collaborate with marketing to design promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness and market share.
- New Customer Acquisition: Identify potential customers and explore opportunities to expand the customer base.
Develop and maintain a network of contacts to generate leads.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify unique selling propositions.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate sales team performance using KPIs such as revenue, customer acquisition, and conversion rates.
Identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies and maintain competitiveness.
- Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, allocate resources effectively, and control costs to meet sales goals.
- Sales Forecasting: Predict future sales trends and adjust strategies accordingly for planning and resource allocation.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and clients, participate in negotiations, and uphold important partnerships.
