Role purpose
Job purpose As Global Talent and Learning Manager, you will work with the Global Head of Talent & Learning and the Global HR team to design and deliver our Talent and Learning plans in line with the HR and business strategy, working collaboratively with stakeholders in the business and external organisations.
You will manage the deployment and implementation of the Global Talent and Learning curriculum as well as designing and delivering specific regional programs that enable the business to meet its objectives and to grow and retain talent.
The role will oversee multiple workstreams and although regionally based will work with a global mindset as part of a broader global HR team, managing our day-to-day talent and learning development offering across succession planning, talent management, technical training, mandatory training and development opportunities.
It will also assist with HR Projects such as Mentoring and Onboarding.
This role will be provided with analysis and operational support by the HR shared service centre.
Role tasks and responsibilities
Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners to determine talent and learning needs and, in conjunction with other Global Talent and Learning Managers and under the direction of the Global Head of Talent and Learning, develop and deliver local, regional and global solutions.
Manage ongoing talent review and succession planning activities across the business, working with the HR Business Partners and Senior Leaders to deliver against a strategic talent plan, with clear career paths in place for our employees.
Enable and ensure the development of interventions focussed on improving line manager competence and capability and commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Lead the development and delivery of coaching and mentoring capability within the business and championing the benefits of coaching, mentoring and sponsorship.
Ensure managers regularly have engaging and meaningful performance discussions with their team members and drive and monitor career planning and development plans for higher performance.
Use external networks to make recommendations for the introduction of best practice development tools, programs, and latest thinking to grow our internal talent, including ownership of our apprenticeship and graduate programs.
On a global basis, design, develop and deliver innovative training content in line with business needs.
Manage the development and deployment of global onboarding programmes.
Working with the wider HR team, ensure the successful onboarding of new hires and support the process end to end to ensure the best-in-class experience to new colleagues.
Communicate on the training offerings to all employees through different formats, channels and calendars, ensuring global collaboration and learning opportunities.
Produce regular reports associated with KPIs such as budget, ROI, learning hours, activity etc.
Manage current providers and identify and source new vendors to support learning activities and processes.
Contribute to the management of the Control Risks learning platform, ensuring it delivers a seamless, engaging, and impactful user experience.
This includes:
Curating, maintaining, and optimising digital learning content aligned with business goals and learner needs;
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to source and develop high quality learning materials;
Monitoring platform performance and user engagement analytics;
Driving continuous improvement through feedback, innovation, and best practices in digital learning.
Requirements
About You
You will have a wealth of commercial Talent Development and/or L&D expertise with proven experience delivering and driving business wide initiatives with the ability to create and deliver on action plans.
You are a self-starter and have the gravitas to be able to influence senior stakeholders and build relationships which promote trust and confidence, reinforcing a coaching and development culture across the business.
Innovative, organized, end-to-end process oriented, and efficient while being adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
A superb communicator used to dealing with both Executive level and senior management and agile in your approach with high Emotional Intelligence.
Be skilled in facilitating and encouraging collaboration amongst team members (particularly those from different cultures/backgrounds), and capable of motivating teams to maximise performance.
Success in this role is measured on delivery of tangible, pragmatic and fit-for-purpose solutions.
Therefore, this role is best suited to someone who is globally minded, hands-on, proactive and works at pace.
Specialist and language skills
Learning content design and development
Full understanding of learning theories/models and the training cycle
Talent Management and individual development expertise
Advanced facilitation skills including classroom and virtual classroom
Excellent MS Office skills, specifically advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Experience in working across various countries and cultures
Experience in a variety of learning development platforms, spanning content creation to delivery to analytics
Native or professional proficiency level in Chinese preferred
