Job Responsibilities
Development and deployment of the AvionicsGlobal Trade program in the APAC region, as well as transactional review, and day to day support to the business unit in the APAC region.
This role will serve as a subject matter expert in theareas of Global Trade,Authorizationsand Sanctions.Familiar with both export and import regulations with focus in Singapore, China, and India, this position requires both a high-level understanding of the business/products and an intimate knowledge of the regulations surrounding their export and import, including U.S regulations as they may apply.
What you will do:
Program Management
Deployment of the Collins and Avionics Global Trade policies and procedures for allAvionics sites in the APAC region
Partner with your assigned sites to ensure compliance with Global Trade rules andregulations
Development of the Global Trade focal network within the region
Develop and deliver formal and informal Global Trade training, as well as standard work instructions and guidelines in coordination and alignment with the Avionics GT Program Management Office (PMO)
Provide recurring training on new policy requirements, as well as refresher trainings to various functional group(Operations, Human resources, engineering, Supply chain, Sales) as applicable across the APAC region
Analyze business needs with respect to Global Trade requirements and develop compliant solutions in partnership with the sites.
Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions to the GT Leadership team.
Perform regular reviews, including walking the shop floor, to ensure GT policies andprocedures are being followed.
Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Some travel might be required on adhoc basis to visit sites in the region
Day to day support
Act as subject matter expert in the region, to support the business needs and addressday to day questions
Support business operations, including active engagement with business development, contracts, supply chain, engineering functions
Assist with regulatory compliance investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures.
Review and approve import/export transactions, as well as travel requests, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policy
Review potential incidents, advise if an investigation is needed and work with Central Investigations to implement corrective actions.
Assist Security with visitor management clearance.
Review and dispositions of transactions in accordance with Collins Sanctions policy
Workunder/within the following U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and HTS, as well as the various regional regulations that may apply to our locations in APAC
Must have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experienceOR
In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
Experience with APAC regional regulations on Global Trade
Experience with US Export Control regulations
Experience with Sanctions and Screening
Ability to work autonomously and independently, and suggest solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
Proactive, responsive, self-motivated, receptive to change
Works well under pressure and is able to prioritize workload
Attention to detail and strong record management competency.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS/MS International Trade, Engineering or Business Administration
Development and implementing standard work
Program or Project management experience
Aerospace (program/technical) experience
Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations; specifically, the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL)
Familiarity with U.S. and Singapore Jurisdiction and Classification and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
