Overview
The Trade Desk is seeking a GM, Marketing APAC to lead all marketing GTM efforts across APAC (Australia; North Asia: China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea; Southeast Asia: Singapore, Indonesia, India).
This role includes brand and performance marketing, with a focus on driving growth, simplifying data, building relationships, and accelerating results across the region.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive APAC go-to-market strategy that covers the region as a whole and priority country plans (Australia, India, Japan, China, Singapore).
- Partner with the APAC leadership team to set vision for growth, drive brand initiatives, and accelerate regional growth.
- Define the growth vision and collaborate with senior commercial leaders to refine strategy and demonstrate results.
- Unite the APAC marketing function by coordinating country brand leads (Australia, Singapore, India, Japan, Hong Kong) while guiding regional leadership and cross-functional teams including digital, performance marketing, events, research & insights, editorial, PR/Comm s, and creative.
- Establish KPIs for the region and countries; track and report metrics; optimize plans in collaboration with local and marketing leaders.
- Represent The Trade Desk on industry stages at internal and external events and articulate the company’s perspective on macro market drivers.
- Develop a strong point of view on messaging and simplify storytelling to engage new and existing clients.
- Balance global and local initiatives, partner with other marketing leaders worldwide, build consensus, and inspire the team to succeed.
Who you are
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years of marketing experience at brand advertisers, agencies, media companies, product marketing, performance marketing/demand generation.
- Understanding of the programmatic advertising industry and AdTech ecosystem.
- Clear experience working with and presenting to sales teams.
- Compelling storyteller focused on performance and simplifying complexity.
- High emotional intelligence with ability to build relationships across large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to concept, develop, and execute integrated campaigns across paid media, events, editorial, social, and thought leadership.
- Solid understanding of integrated marketing including demand generation, pipeline generation, analytics, events, and editorial.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, self-organizing with strong time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfort with analyzing gray spaces, breaking down complex problems into actionable plans with a test-and-learn agenda.
- Experience developing and managing a large team (20+ people).
- Proficiency across marketing tools and systems (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Salesforce, Marketo, Asana, Bizible, Excel, Tableau).
- Mix of B2B/B2C background is a plus.
