The Group Financial Controller, Global is accountable for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting across all entities within the Group.
This role will oversee Finance Controllership teams globally, ensuring month‐end closing, financial reporting, and compliance with both Group standards and local regulations are executed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage finance teams across multiple global offices, ensuring financial close processes, reporting, and internal controls are executed with accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
Prepare and deliver timely financial statements and reports for Senior Management, the Board, and relevant local regulatory authorities.
Ensure adherence to Group policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely submission to local regulatory bodies.
Partner with Group Shared Services teams to provide guidance and oversight in producing accurate financial reporting.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key financial functions to strengthen internal controls.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and optimize the effectiveness of the finance team.
Utilize technology and automation to streamline financial reporting and close processes.
Special Projects & Other Responsibilities
Supervise the deployment and adoption of the Group Consolidation system.
Contribute to Group‐wide projects (e.g., SAP implementation), providing financial oversight, inputs, and supporting change management initiatives.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with professional certifications preferred.
Minimum 20 years of relevant experience, including financial controllership and regional financial management.
Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm, finance transformation initiatives, or multinational corporate finance environments is advantageous.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting expertise.
Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and multitasking skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Demonstrated capability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders across geographies.
Technical Skills & Tools
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with financial consolidation tools such as Tagetik, SAP BPC, HFM, or OneStream.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting/analytics tools such as Power BI or Merit is a plus.
